“I enjoyed the story and the plotline. I think it’s a great idea to show the effects of drugs on people and what happens to people when the high is over — why he is the way he is. My favorite character is Halfweed. She is a very smart and strong character who figures out things. I like that you made her a leader and she can handle herself. She is brave even in a bad situation. I like that it’s entertaining and has a message, but it’s not one of those boring books that’s, like, ‘don’t do drugs,’ and ‘drugs are bad,’ or ‘drugs kill you.’ The illustrations [pictures] in the story are amazing. I think that kids are going to enjoy the book.”
